Hi! I’m Dawn

I’m a St. Louis native, wife, and mom of two girls. I started practicing yoga nearly 20 years ago, when a friend asked me to come to a class. I was only mildly interested in going, but I’m glad I did. Juggling marriage, parenthood, and career can add a few grays to the hairline. Yoga helps me approach life in a more focused and mindful way. 

Initially, I found yoga intimidating. I had an expectation of perfection, and I beat myself up for not being able to do a split or some other complicated pose. It took me years to work with, not against, the person who shows up on the mat at any given moment.

My goal as a yoga teacher is to help you ditch any ideals of perfection as quickly as possible. Yoga can be as flexible as you need it to be. It doesn’t have to be filled with pretzely poses. We’ll use props and modifications, along with breathwork, to find a practice that is uniquely yours.
